چکیده

Chemical kinetics is mainly concerned with studying the factors that change reaction rate and response mechanism. The present paper investigates law for reaction, order of secondary alcohols(menthol) compares it to other alcohols like Borneol Isoborneol. Diagnose product oxidation reaction. perfumery [menthol], [Borneol], [Isoborneol] by NDC have been studied in aqueous acetic acid medium at 303K. were converted corresponding carbonyl compounds. concerning [Subs], [Oxi], [H+] ions concentration found be one. decrease dielectric constant enhances ionic strength has no significant effect on reactivity response; does not induce polymerization Acrylonitrile, indicating absence free radical pathway. added Mn2+ show was slightly increasing order. four different temperatures Eyring equation used calculate thermodynamic parameters Gibbs energy (ΔG#), entropy (ΔS#), enthalpy (ΔH#). On increase temperature increased abruptly. There a (ΔS#) system indicated value which showed some restriction freedom movement molecules. It observed follows Menthol<Isoborneol<Borneol. Based steric factors, structure, isomeric characteristics under investigation.

Quinolinium Dichromate Oxidation of Aliphatic Aldehydes: A Kinetic Study

Kinetic data on the rates of quinolinium dichromate oxidation of a series of aliphatic aldehydes have been determined and discussed with reference to aldehyde hydration equilibria. Kinetic results support a pathway proceeding via a rate-determining oxidative decomposition of a chromate ester of an aldehyde hydrate. A cyclic transition state is suggested; being a Hückel-type system (4n + 2), thi...

Stereospecific oxidation of secondary alcohols by human alcohol dehydrogenases.

The human liver alpha alpha alcohol dehydrogenase exhibits a different substrate specificity and stereospecificity for secondary alcohols than the human beta 1 beta 1, and gamma 1 gamma 1 or horse liver alcohol dehydrogenases. All of the enzymes efficiently oxidize primary alcohols, but alpha alpha oxidizes secondary alcohols far more efficiently than human beta 1 beta 1 and gamma 1 gamma 1 or ...

Reversible Oxidation of Cyclic Secondary Alcohols by Liver Alcohol Dehydrogenase

During a study of cyclic alcohol oxidation by a partially purified rat liver enzyme system (l), it was noted that ethanol was also oxidized by this preparation. Since the ratio of the rate of ethanol oxidation to the rate of cyclohexanol oxidation remained constant during purification, the possibility arose that the activity with cyclic substrates was due to the conventional alcohol dehydrogena...

Double Immobilized Lipase for the Kinetic Resolution of Secondary Alcohols

Sol-gel immobilization of enzymes, which can improve considerably their properties, is now one of the most used techniques. By deposition of the entrapped lipase on a solid support, a new and improved biocatalyst was obtained, which can be used with excellent results in acylation reactions. In this paper, lipase B from Candida antarctica was double immobilized on different adsorbents. These bio...
